What we charge, and what you get for it.

These are starting points, not fixed packages. Every project is scoped on a call before we quote a number.

Advisory

From $1,500

You are not sure what to build yet, or someone has quoted you and you want a second opinion.

This is consulting work rather than a build. It runs from a few days to a few weeks depending on the scope. We review what you already have, identify what is costing you money, and produce a written plan before any build begins. The plan is yours to keep, whether or not you build it with us.

  • A review of your current site, tooling, or workflow
  • What is broken, what is fine, and what is not worth fixing
  • A prioritized plan with rough costs against each item
  • A call to walk through it

Build

From $5,000

You know roughly what you need and you want it built properly.

Websites, web apps, client portals, internal tools, automation. We scope the number after a discovery call. A five page site and a booking platform are different jobs and are priced differently.

  • Discovery and scoping before a number is quoted
  • Design and build
  • Tested by a dedicated QA analyst before it goes live
  • A fixed price, agreed up front

Ongoing

$500 to $2,000+ / month

The work does not stop when the site launches.

A monthly retainer covering SEO, ad management, improvements, and maintenance. Most land around $1,500. Where you sit depends on the hours you actually need, and the bottom of that range is normally something we add alongside other work rather than run on its own.

  • A set amount of our team's time each month
  • SEO and ad management
  • Ongoing changes and improvements
  • Hosting, updates, and someone to call when something breaks

What a retainer actually means

A retainer is a fixed monthly fee that reserves a set amount of our team's time for you. It is not a software subscription.

Each month you have hours available and an agreed list of priorities. We work through that list. If something more urgent comes up halfway through the month, you move it to the top and we work on that instead. You are not raising a ticket and waiting for a quote every time you want a page changed.

Most clients use it for SEO, ad management, and steady improvements to a site that is already live. If you only need one specific thing done and nothing after it, tell us. We will quote that as a one off instead.

A major overhaul or a large release with real new features is not retainer work and we will not pretend it is. Those get quoted separately on the hours involved.

We usually sort the maintenance arrangement out during the build itself rather than in the week before launch.

What projects actually cost

Rough ranges from work we have done and work we quote on. Yours could land outside them, but you will know roughly where you stand before we speak.

Small business website

Five to eight pages, built to rank and convert

$5,000 to $8,000+

Marketing site with integrations

Booking, CRM, payments, or a content system your team runs itself

$10,000 to $20,000+

Internal tool or automation

Software that runs the business rather than markets it

$8,000 to $25,000+

Web app or client portal

Accounts, dashboards, permissions, real data behind it

$20,000 to $40,000+

Data and AI automation

Scoped against the hours it removes, not the hours it takes us

Quoted per workflow

Work outside an agreed scope is billed at a blended team rate starting at $85 per hour. Blended means one rate covering the whole team rather than a separate rate for each person on it.

What we mean by data and AI automation

This is the one we quote per workflow, because the value depends entirely on what it replaces. Some of what people ask us for:

  • Pulling numbers out of several systems into one report that updates itself
  • Replacing manual data entry between tools that do not talk to each other
  • Reading documents, invoices, or forms and getting what matters into your system
  • Sorting and routing incoming enquiries so the right person sees them first
  • Search across your own internal documents that actually returns the right answer

We price these against the hours they remove. If a job eats forty hours a month, that is what the price is measured against, rather than how long the build takes us.

How we get to a number

We estimate the hours based on work we have already done, not on a guess. Then we talk about it. Nothing starts until the number is agreed and you know what you are getting for it.

We work with small businesses and startups regularly, so if the budget is tight, say so at the start rather than at the end. We will tell you what can be done within it, or that it cannot be done.

Hosting and setup, end to end

We handle the whole thing, not just the code. That includes working out where your project should actually live. Depending on what you are running, that might be AWS, DigitalOcean, or something a lot smaller and cheaper, and we pick it on what gives you the best performance for the lowest cost with room to grow into.

You do not need to manage any of it yourself. We set it up, we keep it running, and we tell you what it costs before you commit to it.

All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Who you are actually hiring

We are a small team based in Edmonton and Calgary. All of us studied here and all of us work here. Nothing gets handed off overseas overnight, and you are not going to spend your project talking to an account manager who relays messages to a developer you never meet.

The team is a senior developer who came up through data and business analysis, two intermediate developers, a senior QA analyst, and support staff.

The QA role is worth pointing out. Most firms our size test their own work. We have a dedicated senior QA analyst whose job is finding problems before your customers do, which means issues get caught before launch rather than after it.

We have all worked in customer facing jobs before this one. You will get answers in plain language, and you will get them back the same week. We are in Edmonton and Calgary, so we also meet clients in person when that is useful.

Not sure which of these you need?

The first call is free. Tell us what you need and we will tell you whether we are the right fit for it.
